Swiss students made their mark on Guiseley and Menston and experienced the worst of the British weather during a week-long exchange trip.
The group, who taught French during their stay, were paying a return visit to the area after 15 students from Menston and Guiseley went to Sion in Switzerland at the end of March.
During their stay in Switzerland the English students did work experience as foreign language assistants for a week.
During the return leg of the exchange the Swiss students did work experience teaching at Guiseley School, Tranmere Park, and St Mary's Menston.
One of the organisers of the exchange Paula Critchley said: "They have certainly seen the worst of British weather during their stay, but there have been no complaints.
"The exchange has been a big success in this, its first year.
"I intend to continue the exchange next year and beyond, hopefully fostering strong links for cultural and linguistic exchange between the schools."
