Theatre company BrassNeck are on the lookout for any ’80s wannabes who would like to audition to take part in their up and coming production of the musical The Wedding Singer which will be performed at Yeadon Town Hall from May 13-17, 2014.
Based on the hit movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore The Wedding Singer became a West End hit and has subsequently reached the masses after embarking on a tour starring Jonathan Wilkes. The Wedding Singer is set in 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Heart is New Jersey’s favourite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own, until he meets and falls in love with waitress Julia Sullivan.
Auditions for the great feel-good show will be held on Sunday, September 15 from 9am. All major roles are to be auditioned for along with smaller and ensemble roles.
