The annual Devonshire Food Festival is back for 2013, with a whole range of dinners and demonstrations taking place from November 18-24.

Taking place at The Devonshire Arms on The Bolton Abbey estate, it promises to be a real foodie feast.

The week will include a variety of live chef demos, ‘light-hearted’ lunches, afternoon teas, Michelin star dinners, and chef vs. chef events – where two chefs compete against one another to win diners’ votes. Chefs confirmed for this year’s culinary extravaganza include new Burlington restaurant head chef Adam Smith, who has joined the Devonshire group from The Ritz; local patisserie chef Thierry Dumouchel, owner of traditional French boulangerie, Dumouchel, in Yorkshire: Masham’s Swinton Park 3 AA Rosette Award-winning head chef, Simon Crannage and Great British Menu contestant and local chef, Stephanie Moon.

Lunches and dinners will be taking place every day throughout the week, each one hosted by a different chef showcasing their talents.

The Chef vs. Chef lunches will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Burlington – where guests can sample a mystery menu without knowing which chef it was prepared by.

Dinners throughout the week will comprise a six-course tasting menu from a different Michelin-starred chef each night in the Burlington, including menus cooked by Cinnamon Club head chef Rakesh Ravindran, head chef at Anthony’s Restaurant Anthony Flinn, and Montagu Arms head chef Matthew Tomkinson.

After the lunch and dinner menu is served, the chef will be welcomed front of house to meet the guests who have sampled the dishes for an informal chat amongst the tables and a question and answer session.

Lunches are priced at £39 per person and include a welcome drink. Dinners are priced at £59 per person and also include a welcome drink. Guests wishing to make a night of it can book a stay at The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel from just £99 per person, and anyone booking their space at the festival before September will receive a £5 discount for lunch and £10 discount for dinner.
