ITV Yorkshire weather presenter Jon Mitchell and former Yorkshire cricket captain David Byas will be among special guests at a fundraising Bollywood theme evening in Addingham.
A Jolly Bolly Evening will take place at Addingham Memorial Hall, Main Street, on Saturday June 21, in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity and Calcutta Rescue.
The event will feature Bollywood-style dancers, a Bombay Market theme selling spices, herbs, scarves and accessories and a curry – included in the ticket price.
Also attending the event will be auctioneer Nigel Smith, and James Wilson, who will compere the evening.
There will be a chance to have a go at Bollywood dancing and a prize will be given to the Best Bollywood Dancer and Best Dressed guest of the evening.
Asian dress is welcome, but not mandatory.
The evening will move onto the raffle and auction.
Prizes up for auction include a trip for five people to the West Yorkshire Police headquarters in Wakefield, featuring a tour around the firearms section, mounted police, dog-handling section and police helicopters; bed and breakfast at the Devonshire Fell, Burnsall, a half-day falconry session at Sion Hall, Thirsk, tickets for Ripon Races, a family pass to the Yorkshire Air Museum, West Yorkshire Playhouse and Yorkshire Show tickets, and more big prizes.
