Le Tour is coming to Yorkshire this summer and what better way to celebrate the French “joie de vivre” than with a joyful musical tour of Saint-Saens wacky animals in the company of The Naturalist.
Suitable for children from three years, with plenty to appeal to parents and grandparents “Le Tour des Animaux” is a new interactive show that will tour during the Yorkshire Festival. The company be performing at St Margaret’s Church, Ilkley on Saturday, June 7 at 4pm.
Devised by Michael Charlton using a new arrangement of Carnival of the Animals by Deborah Pennington and specially commissioned poetry by Jan Holdstock.
Classical music group, The Aire Ensemble, will be joined by Leeds based professional actor Paul Ratcliffe. All the musicians are highly talented professionals who work and live in Yorkshire.
