The current exhibition being held at The Art Shop on South Hawkesworth Street, Ilkley, will feature a selection of original works and prints by renowned Yorkshire watercolourist Richard Gawthorpe.
Richard will be also be spending several days at the gallery demonstrating and talking to customers on Tuesdays May 13 and 20, and also on Saturday, May 24.
Richard has exhibited at both the British Watercolour Society and British Society of Painters for the last 25 years, and in 2004 became chairman of the selection committee for both.
In 2007 he won the Old Masters Award at the British Watercolour Society. He has also held successful one-man exhibitions and had his work has been displayed in many galleries around the country.
Remarkably, over the last 20 years, Richard has raised more than £300,000 for Kirkwood Hospice through the sales of original works, prints and cards.
This is something he continues to do, with a percentage of all sales going to the hospice. He is the single biggest fundraiser in the 33-year history of the hospice.
He has held courses in the Lake District and on the Yorkshire coast, and still runs them monthly at Northorpe Hall, Mirfield, West Yorkshire.
The exhibition runs until May 24.
