The Oscar winning 12 Years a Slave will be shown in Otley next week.
The film, directed by Steve McQueen, and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Lupita Nyong'o, will be presented at the Courthouse, at 7.45pm, on Thursday, May 22.
It tells the story, based on the memoir of Solomon Northup, of a free African American man who was kidnapped in Washington DC in 1841 and his suffering after being sold into slavery.
The Otley Film Society screening costs £4 and tickets can be bought on the night.
