Young thespians will be pulling out all the stops to put on a ‘show in a week’ at Yeadon Town Hall.
Children from Scalakids Performing Arts will begin rehearsals on Sunday and will stage two live shows less than a week later on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31.
Youngsters will work from 9.30am until 5pm each day from Sunday to Thursday followed by technical and dress rehearsals on Friday afternoon. This hard work will then culminate in two live performances on stage, at Yeadon Town Hall.
Organisers says the show – Scalakids Live! – is being staged following on from the success of previous years.
This year ten places have been opened up for talented children from outside the performing arts school. Anyone interested in a place for their child should contact the Scala office, on 0113 250 6823, between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
The show starts at 7pm on both evenings. Tickets cost £15 (£12 for concessions) and are available from 07779 231 823.
