IT WILL be a case of deja vu when Guiseley amateur thespian Ian White takes to the stage later this month in the pantomime Cinderella.
Ian, 48, a veteran of more than 30 pantomimes in Yeadon, Ilkley and Bingley will be playing the part of Buttons for the third and final time.
“I first played Buttons back in 1997 when I was 30, again in 2004 – both times at Yeadon Town Hall – and now at 48 I’m doing it again at Bingley Arts Centre,” he said. “But I think I’m getting a bit long in the tooth for all the falling down and getting hit on the head night after night and am calling it a day with this latest production.” Ian, a film and TV extra by day and a supermarket shelf-filler by night, added: “Finding a balance between my day job on TV and film sets, working at the supermarket and doing pantos has become increasingly difficult and I don’t know whether I’m coming or going some days.”
Cinderella will be performed at Bingley Arts Centre from March 13 to March 15.
