RYMER Peter. R. In memory of Peter On April 4, this year it will be a year since Peter died. At the time we were only allowed a private cremation, as "Lock Down" restrictions were in place. A family decision was made to hold a service at a later date in Hetton Methodist Church in celebration of Peter's life. However, this has been impossible due to Government rules and the fact that the Church at Hetton is presently under closure. As many of you will be aware, Peter spent over 30 years of his working life travelling the dales in his mobile shop. He made many friends over those years with friendships lasting his life time. Throughout Wharfedale, Littondale and the smaller dales many youngsters were encouraged by Peter's enthusiasm to become involved in the sports of rugby and cricket. Latterly, Peter was always delighted to hear of their progress. Thank you to all those friends who continued to visit him or kept in touch when he could no longer attend his beloved rugby and cricket matches. The family wish to thank everyone who sent messages and tributes at the time of his death.
