A new defibrillator will be officially handed over at Addingham sports pavilion in a ceremony on Saturday morning.
At the recent funeral of Tony Gaunt, a well-loved and liked member of the village community, who died suddenly, his family nominated Addingham Responders and Heartstart as the beneficiary of the collection in the hopes it would be able to help provide another defibrillator for the village.
Such was the popularity of Mr Gaunt that the many people who attended the service contributed enough to the collection to fully fund a new defibrillator for the village.
Members of Tony’s favourite team, the Bradford Bulls, are expected to be in attendance at the event.
The ceremony will take place at the sports pavilion, off Stockeld Road, at 11am.
