Police are again advising Ilkley residents to be vigilant after more burglaries, including thefts of bicycles.
Ilkley Neighbourhood Policing Team’s Sergeant Julie Gray this week urged residents to review the security of their homes, following eight house burglaries last month, and seven burglaries of sheds, garages and other premises.
Some of the homes burgled were left insecure, said Sgt Gray, three had Europrofile locks broken, and burglars hooked the keys out through the letterbox in another incident.
There were also four thefts from motor vehicles in July, one assault, and seven reports of criminal damage.
A total of 45 crimes were recorded by police in Ilkley last month.
