A milestone marking the crossroads in Hawksworth village has been given a facelift.
The stone which commemorates the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002 and was originally just painted, has now had its sides carved so it will withstand weathering much better.
Pictured with the stone are members of the village gardening group, from left, Shirley Tillotson, Mary Bowes and Anne Huby. The group meets every Monday morning.
