The son of a music legend will be taking on the heights of the Cow and Calf rock face this month to raise funds for a musical deaf charity.
Justin Osmond, whose dad, Merrill, is lead singer of The Osmonds, will be at the Ilkley landmark on Wednesday, August 28 to take part in the abseil.
He is founder of The Hearing Fund UK charity which has chosen to help bring in funds for the West Yorkshire-based Music and the Deaf this year.
And he will be joined in the dare-devil stunt by local Hearing Fund UK members Pauline Redpath and 16-year-old Beth McConnell.
Mr Osmond, who was born with 90 per cent hearing loss, said: “This year we are raising funds for Music and the Deaf, which is a fantastic charity that helps deaf people learn about music and play and perform their own pieces.
"As part of our fundraising efforts, we decided to brave the heights of the Cow and Calf rock face with the aim of raising lots of money for charity. I’m thrilled that Pauline and Beth are joining me for this abseil.
“It’s thanks to people like them that we are able to achieve our goal of supporting deaf children and their families around the UK.”
