METHODIST CHURCH: Last Sunday our morning service was conducted by Brian Armitage and in the afternoon the women’s fellowship organised a short act of worship in Primrose Court for the residents. The circuit evening service was led by the Rev Rick Ormrod. During August, most of our regular weekday meetings are suspended with the exception of Thursday morning coffee stop, which still provides a meeting place for those without holiday plans. On Sunday our morning worship will be led by Alan Sheath and the circuit is holding a service at Norwood led by the Rev Julian Pursehouse at 2.30pm.

BRIDGE CLUB: On Thursday, August 1, five and a half tables played 22 boards. Winners: 1st Mr Flockton & Mr Martin, 2nd Mrs Bent & Mrs Harfield, 3rd Mrs Riley & Mrs Weston.
