ST JOHN’S CHURCH: As we are now in the long school holidays, young people are much in our minds. The Otley Deanery Youth and Children’s Network, now renamed the Christian Resources Hub, will continue its work for children and young people as the deanery changes. Within St John’s the Sunday work with children will be having a break but will resume in September as will the social club for those of more mature years. Give a thought to two of our members, leader Roger Banister and Christian Wood, who, with other Scouts from West Yorkshire, are on an adventurous trek in northern India. Meanwhile, for those still without a copy, Jubilee Diamonds can be bought at Menston Post Office, the printer Small Print or from the parish office, e-mail office@stjohnmenston.org.uk. Services on Sunday are: 8am holy communion, 9.15am Let’s Worship, 10.30am parish eucharist.
