Pub owner Craig Minto will take the lead cycling from Edinburgh to Leeds from tomorrow, Friday, in bid to raise funds for a cancer charity.
Owner of The Sun Inn and The Fleece, Craig and his courageous cycling crew, will start at The Sun Inn Dalkeith and travel approximately 40 to 60 miles each day until they reach the finishing line at The Fleece at Addingham, on Sunday.
Craig was introduced to cycling by his good friend Scott Spitty who has leukaemia and cycles to help with the condition.
This inspired Craig to raise as much money as possible for all types of cancer.
Craig said: “A few of us have been toying with the idea of doing the Edinburgh to Leeds for a few weeks so I thought I would put it in black and white and get cracking.”
The cyclists are due to arrive back at The Fleece at approximately 3pm on Sunday – so feel free to join them for a well-earned pint! All proceeds are going to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Visit justgiving.com/Edinburgh-Addingham2013 and leave a donation.
