ONE of Yeadon's main streets was closed off for much of Sunday after a body was discovered in a telephone kiosk.
Police were called to Town Street at 5.33am on Sunday where they found the body of a man aged in his mid-30s.
Detectives believe that nobody else was involved in the death, which they described as 'unexplained'.
The road was cordoned off at both ends to allow investigations to take place and a tent was put up to protect the scene as a police forensic team gathered evidence.
Police asked the public to keep away from the area to avoid traffic disruption.
Town Street forms one of the main entrances to Morrisons store and shoppers were forced to use other routes.
Insp Adrian Lyles, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "Inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the death, which at this stage is unxplained. The initial assessment of the scene leads police to believe that no other persons were involved."
