Doodles drawn by a host of Yorkshire celebrities have fetched hundreds of pounds for Yeadon-based charity Epilepsy Action.
Many of the region’s famous faces, including Ricky Wilson, Alan Titchmarsh, Harold ‘Dickie’ Bird and Sir Michael Parkinson, all put pen to paper for National Doodle Day’s celebrity auction on eBay.
Together they raised £667.63, with Kaiser Chief frontman Wilson’s doodle of mice riding cats going for £169.
The ten-day national auction featured scribbles by more than 200 stars and raised £9,000 to help the 600,000 people living with epilepsy across the UK.
Philippa Cartwright, fundraising events manager at Epilepsy Action, said: “We are overwhelmed by the support from celebrities and members of the public.”
