SCHOOL pupils held a talent show and spent a day in fancy dress to raise £12,500 for charity.
During Advent, St Mary's RC Comprehensive School, Menston, also held a non uniform day and a sponsored basketball shoot.
The money, which will be presented at the school's annual feast day in July, will be divided between St Gemma's Hospice, Martin House Hospice, Cafod Catholic Care and the Mnyankanya High School, Kwa Zululand.
Assistant head teacher Kevin Albrow said: "We are very proud of the outstanding efforts that the entire school community has made in such a short space of time. To raise this amount of money in 15 school days is a clear indication of the very active Christian spirit which manifests itself in the school community."
