Work starts on housing scheme
Building work has started on a 37-house development on the site of a Burley-in-Wharfedale mental health centre.
Work started this month on Bellway’s new Scalebor Grange development, off Moor Lane.
The houses are on the site the Moor Lane Centre, which closed in 2009, once part of the Scalebor Park psychiatric hospital site.
Over the next few months Bellway will be building a mix of 37 three and four bedroom family homes on the 2.5-acre site.
A sales office will open next month, and the new houses are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
