Work has finished on a new park play area in Yeadon.
The Kirk Lane Park Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) was funded from local developer contributions, following requests by local people for better facilities, and support from Guiseley and Rawdon Councillors Pat Latty, Graham Latty and Paul Wadsworth.
Old tennis courts at the park were converted into the new play area for use by older children.
Coun Pat Latty said: “I am thrilled that the games area is finally complete and young people in the area will be able to enjoy these fantastic new facilities. I was determined to secure an improved play area for young people, and as local councillors we were more than happy to support the project.
“I am sure that young people in the area will welcome these new facilities, and I look forward to completion of the work also progressing on the small children’s play area adjacent to the MUGA.”
