The Friends of Ilkley Moor group has published its sixth annual Events and Learning Programme of special events on the moor this year. The programme has proved very popular since the formation of the Friends in 2009.
It contains more than 20 events between May and September, ranging from bat-spotting and pond-dipping to a ‘cup and ring stone’ trail using GPS technology.
All events are led by the Friends project officer Tracy Gray, or by specialists in their field.
The Events and Learning Programme can be downloaded from ilkleymoor.org and also collected free from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre, and shops and cafes around town.
The Friends’ annual general meeting will be held on Friday, April 25, at the Clarke Foley Centre, Cunliffe Road, Ilkley, starting at 7.30pm.
Speakers will be Danny Jackson, manager of Bradford Countryside and Rights of Way Service, and Simon Nelson, head keeper of Ilkley Moor.
