Ilkley-based NG Bailey, one of the UK’s leading independent engineering, IT and facilities services businesses, has won ‘Project of the Year (over £2m)’ at the Construction News Specialist Awards ceremony.
It received the award for work carried out on Arla Foods’ new dairy in Aylesbury.
At the ceremony in London attended by industry professionals, the company was presented with the award having been recognised by the judges for the work on what was called a ‘unique’ project.
The judges praised NG Bailey for its understanding of the client’s requirements and passion for the project as a whole, commenting: “They demonstrated exceptional all-round excellence and a real focus on achieving the end product.”
More than 650 of the UK’s leading specialist contractors and industry elite came at the only awards ceremony that recognises and celebrates specialist contractors across the UK.
The evening also saw NG Bailey ‘highly commended’ in the Building Services Specialist of the Year category and third year apprentice Reanna Evans also receiving a highly commended in the Apprentice of the Year category.
Arla Foods’ new £150 million dairy is the biggest in Europe and one of the greenest in the world, with the capacity to process one billion litres of milk a year.
