A long-time Bradford resident has celebrated her 100th birthday with family members and with fellow residents at an Ilkley care home.
Ada Redgen received her message from The Queen earlier this month and celebrated with a small family party.
Hollycroft Care Home, on Heber’s Ghyll Drive, where she lives today, then held another party for her with other residents on Saturday.
Mrs Redgen was born Ada Busfield in Great Horton, Bradford, in 1914. She left school at 14 to work as a weaver, and later did shop work.
She married Tom in 1936 and they were happily married for 58 years. She has one daughter, Barbara.
They lived on Haworth Road in Bradford for about 60 years. Mr Redgen died 20 years ago, and Mrs Redgen moved to Addingham to be closer to her family.
She moved into Hollycroft five years ago. She has two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
