Students from Benton Park are jumping for joy after winning first place in a trampolining competition.

The Rawdon school took first place in the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 categories of the Leeds South and Central contest. Benton Park entered a total of five teams in the two categories.

Individual successes for Key Stage 3 included Izabella Summerscales who came second and Jodie Cook who won the overall competition.

Josie Barber and Georgina Verity came second and third respectively in the Key Stage 4 competition Teacher Danielle Metcalfe said “The students have dedicated a lot of time after school and I am so pleased they have been rewarded with these successes. They should be extremely proud of their achievements.”
