Guides and rangers took the opportunity to pose for a picture with two Olympic heroes as they took part in an expedition.
The 1st Addingham Senior Section and 1st Ilkley Rangers have teamed up once again to make the most of their programme.
This time 19 young women set off to the Yorkshire Dales for a practice expedition for Bronze and Silver level awards. While taking a break in Grassington, four of the Bronze group had a chance meeting with triathletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee and they did not miss the opportunity to pose for a photograph for the record books.
Kathy Hunt and Karen Palframan are leaders in Addingham and Ilkley respectively and it is only by cooperating in this way that the expeditions can take place. It would be fantastic to have more adult volunteers to share the fun.
