Washburn Heritage Centre to hold beekeeping workshop
Budding beekeepers will be able to try on a protective suit and look inside a hive at an event in Fewston next month.
Professional apiarist Bill Cadmore will hold a beekeeping workshop, Get the Buzz, at the Washburn Heritage Centre from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Thursday, May 29.
The day, which will also involves building a frame for bees and, weather permitting, looking around a colony, costs £25, or £19.50 for Washburn Society members. A two-course, homemade lunch and refreshments are included.
