Leeds City Council is seeking people to help behind the scenes at this month’s local elections.
Voting will take place for a third (33) of the authority’s seats, including ones in Aireborough, Horsforth and Wharfedale, on Thursday, May 22.
The event is also being combined with the European Parliamentary Election.
The council is seeking extra staff to support its elections team as they verify and count votes, and to work in polling stations across the area on the day. Counting for the local elections will take place on Friday, May 23 and be followed on Sunday, May 25 with the European count for the whole Yorkshire and Humber region, which is being hosted in Leeds Town Hall.
