Former England and Leeds United goalkeeper Nigel Martyn helped to open a new £350,000 sports pavilion in Rawdon on Tuesday.
Woodhouse Grove School, in Apperley Bridge, worked with Bradford Council and sports clubs in the area on a project which led to the construction of the new facilities in Rawdon Meadows, using £98,000 from the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund.
Assistant director of Sport and Leisure at Bradford Council Phil Barker said: “It is a groundbreaking partnership that marks a successful outcome of the Council working with Woodhouse Grove School, local football clubs and the Bronte Archers to secure the future of this great recreation ground.”
