Straven House care home in Ilkley has won an award for being rated within the top 20 homes in the region.
The home, on Queens Road, came 16th out of 1,617 homes in Yorkshire and The Humber on online directory and industry website carehome.co.uk.
The award for Straven House was based on the home’s online recommendations from their residents plus friends and relatives of residents.
Director of carehome.co.uk Davina Ludlow said: “We felt the best people to rate a care home were the people who really know its ins and outs, its residents and their families.
“Straven House care home has proved that it provides a great service and we’d like to congratulate them on being a top recommended home in Yorkshire and The Humber. It’s a brilliant achievement to be recognised for your hard work but particularly from the people who you work hard for.”
Lorraine Tinkler, manager of Straven House, said: “I’m delighted that Straven House has received this award. It is made even more special by the fact residents and their families took the time to recommend the home.
“Knowing our residents and their families are happy with the care we provide is extremely rewarding. This award is a tribute to our hard-working and committed people and the excellent care they provide.”
