A competition to find the ‘Voice of Yorkshire’ is nearing its deadline.
Anyone who wants to apply for a chance to perform live at Milleniium Square in Leeds has until Sunday, May 18, to submit footage of themselves singing.
The Voice of Yorkshire challenge aims to reveal ten of the best unrecognised singing talents in the county and invite them to perform live to an audience of thousands on May 31.
The competition has been launched by Child Fundraiser of the Year Bethany Hare, of Horsforth.
She is appealing to people in Yorkshire to help her ‘May’ke a Million in May’ to build a permanent respite cottage for families with children who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Entrants should send footage of themselves singing to bethanyssmile@virginmedia.com. Phone footage, YouTube and SoundCloud links are all acceptable.
The winner will receive a trophy and a number of prizes.
