A ‘ChitChat’ session is to be held in Yeadon later this month to show photographs from a historical society’s archives.
A free film show of 60 photographs will be displayed at Yeadon Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, May 24.
The photographs, from Aireborough Historical Society collection, will be projected onto the wall of the hall, and information about each photograph will be available.
Members of the archive room will be on hand to answer any questions from the public.
Carlo Harrison, from the society, said the idea for the event was to allow people to see photographs from the archives and to chat about the images and about memories they bring back.
“I would like people to talk about what they see to us, amongst themselves, to their children.
“I know from experience that many people who do not have internet access would love to see these photographs, which will cover the whole of Aireborough.”
The event is open between 10am and noon.
