Moor volunteers have continued work this month on a footpath that runs from Ben Rhydding Road to the Cow and Calf Rocks.
Three working days were organised for volunteers to carry out the work on Footpath Ilkley 42.
One of the events in the Friends of Ilkley Moor’s Events and Learning programme, the work is organised by Bradford Council Countryside Rights of Way Service.
Council officer Richard Perham, who leads the work, said: “We have installed about 30 steps and surfaced them with sandstone. Five Friends of Ilkley Moor have been involved in the work so far. The path is identified for improvement as part of Bradford Council’s Rights of Way improvement plan.”
He added: “If funds allow, I plan on surfacing the rest of the path, part of which follows the drive leading to Ben Rhydding Hydro from Hangingstones Lane.”
