YO-ho-ho and a bottle of rum echoed through the classrooms at The Whartons Primary School, Otley.
Year two, six and seven-year-olds, were treated to a couple of weeks of pirate based lessons and ended the project with a day devoted to the high seas.
The lessons were aimed at encouraging boys to improve their writing skills and included them writing their own stories and reading them out.
