A 60-year-old Otley woman is back home following an “amazing” fundraising challenge in Sweden.
Guide Dogs supporter Pat Brown travelled 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle to drive a team of huskies for 220 kilometres.
Her adventure included getting thrown from her sled several times, braving night-time temperatures of minus 26 Centigrade, and catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Proceeds from the sponsored expedition have taken Pat’s fundraising total close to the £5,000 she needs to have a Guide Dog puppy trained and named Otley.
