A WHOLE school Victorian day enabled all pupils and staff at Moorfield School in Ilkley to fully immerse themselves as history came alive.
Pupils responded perfectly to the regime imposed on them by their different teachers: being seen and not heard, sitting bolt upright, not questioning and living in fear of the cane. Stifled smiles gave away their enjoyment. Mrs Crossley, headmistress, said: “The children learnt a lot but were very pleased that school days are so different, that teachers are kind and make school so much more fun.”
