A WALK that visits the homes of some of the characters who lived in the Washburn Valley during historical times will be held this month.
Entitled Where Did They Live, What Did They Do?, the four-and-a-half-mile trek begins from Washburn Heritage Centre, in Fewston, at 9am on Thursday, March 19.
The walk will pass by the homes of people such as Richard Gill the tailor, at Norwood, who were identified during a study of Fewston Church’s churchyard.
It will end with a two-course lunch at the heritage centre, included in the £12.50 per person – £10 for members – cost. For more details, call (01943) 880794.
