THE FIRST Otley Business Awards will be held at Korks Wine Bar this month.

The Otley Chamber of Trade organised event takes place from 8pm on Tuesday, March 24, and follow the chamber’s 7pm AGM. Tom Hatley, who is set to become the chamber’s new President on the night, will preside over proceedings.

There are various categories and nine businesses have been shortlisted, through public nominations, for a Good Service Award. They are: Althams Travel, Colman Tyres, Chevin Health Stores, Chevin Trek, J B Wilkinson, Rest Assured, Sweet Treats, Uncle Joes and Sum.

Former president and long-serving member Trevor Backhouse, will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his hard work.
