A LOCAL MP’s call to fund the first mixed-ability rugby world cup tournament has attracted Government help.
Sports Minister Helen Grant hinted funding for the event would be available as she agreed to a meeting with Menston and Burley-in-Wharfedale MP Philip Davies.
The tournament will see players with learning or physical disabilities playing alongside non-disabled players and was pioneered by the Bumble Bees Barbarians RFU Team.
