BURLEY Parish Council will discuss a request to provide a public access defibrillator when it meets at The Parish Council Office, Queen’s Hall, Burley-in-Wharfedale, this evening, from 7.30pm.
Cllr John Grimshaw, the chairman of Burley Parish Council, said: “The parish council has been asked to provide a defibrillator in Burley and we are seeking the views of the village surgery and the local community about where a defibrillator could be based to ensure maximum access.
“It will cost about £2,000 plus maintenance costs and training so the parish council wish to get it right.”
Other items on the agenda include the public toilet in Burley.
Cllr Grimshaw added: “The parish is aware of the value of the toilet and does not wish to see the village without this facility.”
