Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mike Gibbons
LORD Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mike Gibbons, will take part in a tree planting ceremony in Heaton Woods this weekend celebrate his year in office.
An English oak tree will be planted at the ceremony on Saturday which also marks annual arboriculture day for the Heaton Woods Trust. All Lord Mayors in Bradford are patron of the Heaton Woods Trust during their year in office. The tradition of planting the Lord Mayor’s Tree in Heaton Woods started in the mid-1980s and has continued ever since.
