GHYLL Royd School swimmers were crowned winners at the Ilkley Grammar School Primary Schools’ League Swimming Final.
Schools from all across the Wharfe Valley competed in the event held at Ilkley Grammar School, with Ben Rhydding Primary School taking second place and Ashlands Primary School third.
David Martin, who is headteacher at Ghyll Royd School in Burley-in-Wharfedale congratulated all who took part in the “fantastic event” which had a high level of aquatic competition.
The headteacher said: “The children are delighted to have won first place.
“It was a fantastic event with all the competing schools swimming extremely well.
“Congratulations to everyone who took part.”
