OTLEY’S MP has been helping students understand the inner workings of government.
MP Greg Mulholland (Lib Dem, Leeds North West) gave a detailed presentation about Parliament and life as an MP when he visited Prince Henry’s Grammar School.
The visit, which included a question and answer session, was part of the Otley school’s Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) day.
It was followed by a mock election, featuring Sixth Form students, in which the Green Party triumphed.
Mr Mulholland said: “I really enjoyed meeting the students, who showed a clear interest in learning about the political process and how they could get involved.
“It’s always great to visit Prince Henry’s too, so many thanks to the school for organising the day and inviting me along.”
