ACTION will be taken to tackle overgrown roadside bushes and potholes at Pool-in-Wharfedale next month.
Both issues have been causing visibility and road safety issues on the lower section of Old Pool Bank for some time.
Councillor Barry Anderson (Con, Adel & Wharfedale) has now been told by Leeds City Council that work will begin on site on April 13 and last for between eight and ten days.
The authority’s highways department plans to remove all of the self-seeded tree and bush growth on the west/north west side of the road, as this has been causing retaining walls to collapse.
Pothole patching work will also be carried out “to the worst area near the bridge and a section just below the Bar House.”
The pothole works will require an off-peak road closure.
