INCREASING numbers of passengers are flying from Leeds Bradford to America, taking advantage of new services launched last year.
Aer Lingus is offering twice daily flights to the US via Dublin.
Last year, the airline launched new services from Dublin to San Francisco and Toronto and from May this year, a new four times weekly service to Washington DC will start. The San Francisco service will operate daily from May 1, and three daily departures to New York will start in the peak summer.
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airports’ aviation development director, said: “LBA has seen significant growth in the number of Yorkshire passengers flying to North America with Aer Lingus in the first few months of 2015.
“In addition, the introduction of new Aer Lingus services this summer to Washington alongside increased frequencies on both New York and Orlando will provide even more reason to fly to North America via Dublin from Leeds Bradford.”
