BUILDING society branch colleagues in Ilkley are getting in the saddle to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The colleagues are raising money for Yorkshire Building Society’s Hour of Need campaign, which will enable Marie Curie Nurses to provide even more vital support for terminally ill people and their families across West Yorkshire and the rest of the UK.

The fundraising at Yorkshire Building Society, on Station Road, is taking place tomorrow with colleagues taking it in turns to try and keep the wheels spinning on a static bike for the full working day.

Rebecca Hadwin, manager of the Ilkley branch of Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We are all proud to be supporting Marie Curie with the Hour of Need campaign. We know Marie Curie is a charity close to the hearts of many people in our community and we hope as many people as possible will help keep us spinning those wheels and pop into the branch and sponsor us.

“Here in the Ilkley branch we are also embracing Marie Curie’s annual Great Daffodil Appeal and have been selling the charity’s popular daffodil pins throughout March.”
