RESIDENTS in Pool-in-Wharfedale are being invited to share their views about the future of the local economy at a consultation event next week.
The village’s Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group is holding a Business and Employment focused meeting at the Village Hall on Thursday. Running from 7pm to 10pm, the event will feature guest speakers including MP Greg Mulholland (Lib Dem, Leeds North West), representatives from Leeds Bradford and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Finance Yorkshire, and Leeds City Council’s business development department.
The evening is the first of four themed consultation events being held to enable Pool’s Neighbourhood Plan, which will be a legal document that will help shape local development, to be drawn up.
Further meetings will seek residents’ views on Transport and Roads, Living, and Spaces.
Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group chairman Joanna Rowling said: “It is essential for all local people to contribute their ideas now.”
