AN 'EXCITING' announcement about plans to re-open Otley Lido will be made this weekend.
The Friends of Otley Lido, which wants to get the old outdoor swimming pool site revamped and brought back into use, is inviting supporters to attend Wharfemeadows Park at 10am on Saturday, January 23.
The lido closed in 1993 but Leeds City Council announced last year that it was seeking someone to take out a 125 year lease on the plot and use it for a 'leisure/cafe'' type development.
