AN OTLEY school's rugby team is celebrating finishing a near-perfect season with yet another victory.
The new Year 7 team at Prince Henry’s Grammar School has remained unbeaten in all 25 games it has played in the White Rose School's Rugby Series.
They have now rounded the season off by winning the prestigious King’s Grammar School 7s Competition, in Grantham.
Team coach and Area Leader in PE at Prince Henry's, Dean Hyam, said he was delighted at the work the players had put in since joining the school last September.
He said: "We’re very proud of the lads in all our rugby teams, but the Under 12 team have certainly started their careers at Prince Henry’s with a bang!
"They have worked really hard and shown true grit and determination to beat some very tough teams throughout the year.
"It’s been a good year for rugby at school, with teams in the Yorkshire Cup semi finals as well, but these lads have excelled."
